It’s safe to say that re-branding is in the life cycle of every successful brand. Think Apple, Nike, Coca-Cola, Instagram. But the million-dollar question is, how do you know when it’s time to re-brand YOUR business?

A re-brand is an exiting time to strategically refresh your business so that you can connect with THE RIGHT audience, show off your KEY DIFFERENTIATORS, show people EXACTLY what it is you do and how you can help them, reflect NEW GOALS, PRODUCTS OR VALUES and mostly importantly successfully LEVERAGE YOUR BUSINESS and positively CHANGE THE GAME.

But I get the hesitation, I do! You’ve already got a logo and a website, so why change things up?! In this blog post, we're going to ask some big picture questions that get to the heart and soul of your current brand which will help you figure out whether a re-brand is for you.

Do you believe your current branding is holding you back from new opportunities / customers?

  1. I think so. It’s totally outdated.

  2. It's not holding me back but it's not propelling me forward. It’s just meh so I don’t know? 🤷🏽‍♀️

Do you think your current branding resonates with your ideal customers / clients?

  1. Customers and clients have been hard to come by lately!

  1. No way, it doesn't even come close but it’s all I’ve got

  1. Not so much. It feels confusing and in-consistent

  2. It helps set the tone but I feel like something is missing

  3. It sure does! Just by looking at my brand and website, my customers / clients know exactly what to expect when they choose to work with me or buy one of my products

Are you emotionally invested in your current branding?

  1. Not even slightly, I think my business would be far more polished with a new look and feel

  2. I don't love it or hate it -- it is what it is!

  3. I love it but I'm open to making big changes if it's in the best interest of my brand longterm 

  4. It gives me all the feels every time I see it!

Are you embarrassed to show people your website and show off your business?

  1. Yes I am 😢

  2. Not at all. I show it off all the time

Does your branding fail to differentiate itself from your competition?

  1. Yes. My brand has started looking like every other brand even though I am a unique business with key differentiators

  2. My branding is unique but doesn’t quite fit the bill with what we do

  3. I love how much my branding is unique to everything else I’ve seen out there

Has your business model or strategy changed or have you expanded in another direction?

  1. Yes, since Covid things have pivoted in a different direction

  2. My business has grown hugely and I’ve introduced a lot of new services / products outside of my original business model

  3. Though my business has expanded, my business model and strategy remain on the same track

Are you trying to connect with a new audience?

  1. Yes our target audience has shifted

  2. We are broadening our audience to both male and females but our branding is directed towards woman

  3. Our target audience remains the same
